Nursery will have their Sports Day a week earlier on Friday 12th June and it will be held in school. Miss Evans has shared the details on the Google Classroom. On Friday 19th June, events for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will take place in the morning from 9:20 am – 12:00 pm and events for children in Years 3 to 6 will run in the afternoon from 12:40 – 3:00 pm. We hope you will join us to cheer on your children and enjoy a whole school picnic lunch from 12:00 - 12:40 pm. All children will need a packed lunch on the day and should wear school PE kit with a t-shirt representing their Fern Hill House colour. If your child is in Years 3 to 6, please complete this short form to let us know whether we will be dismissing your child directly to you at the Hawker Centre or from school. Please note that children will NOT be permitted to walk home alone from the Hawker Centre. |

Reading for Pleasure
This year is the National Year of Reading and we are delighted to be one of 25 schools across the country who have been accepted into the UKLA/OU Quality Mark programme, which recognises and rewards schools that have developed, embedded and enriched their Reading for Pleasure (RfP) culture and ethos.
As part of our evidence-gathering and to continue to strengthen our offer in the wider community, we would really appreciate it if you could fill in this a short survey to help us understand the extent to which we are engaging parents with 'Reading for Pleasure' at Fern Hill. Thank you very much for your support.
